Step 4 - Designing your Websites Navigation
During the site design, think about the experience you want your
visitors to have. Imagine how a visitor to your site will be able to
move from one page to next. Your navigation scheme should be
consistent throughout your site. When you place a navigation bar on the
top of your home page, keep it there for all the linked pages. Consider
these points: Visitors know where they are the
site and how to return to the Home page. Include features like search and indexes that make it easy for visitors
to find what they are looking for. Provide
feedback features for visitors to contact the Webmaster with issues on
the site, or to contact relevant people or departments with the company. |
